#Focus – The Baume & Mercier Shelby Only European meet.

Marking the launch of the Capeland Shelby® Cobra 1963, Baume & Mercier is creating a sensation on April 26, 2016 by organizing the “Shelby Only” European meet.

For the first time, authentic Shelby American cars will set off on the famous Mistral track at Le Castellet, in the South of France. To celebrate the two chronographs in this collection, the Geneva-based watch brand is paying a roaring tribute to a legendary race car – the Cobra CSX2128 – and its legendary 1960s drivers.

Baume & Mercier et Carroll Shelby international: a winning team

In 2015, Baume & Mercier wrote the first lines of a grand story with Carroll Shelby International. This year, Baume & Mercier is stepping things up a gear with this event organized with its American partner and the support of the Geneva-based Burgol Racing Technologie workshop.

Collectors of Cobra cars are invited to share a day of competition on this famous Le Castellet track in order to relive the effervescent mood of the Cobra’s grand racing era.

When watchmaking passion meets devotion to fine mechanical engineering…

Rare, thrilling moments embodying the Baume & Mercier philosophy: “Life is about moments”.

A unique opportunity to experience to the full the Cobra “spirit of competition”, to meet legendary drivers such as Allen Grant and Cobra collectors; as well as to chat with the Baume & Mercier teams who share this same enthusiasm for competition and design.

This exclusive and unprecedented circuit experience revives the universe that inspired the new Capeland Shelby® Cobra 1963 chronograph collection presented at the SIHH 2016.

Moments of shared passion illustrating the story of the beautiful encounter between Baume & Mercier and Carroll Shelby International, and which give it full meaning.
